Menjelang pengumumannya pada 26 Desember mendatang, Twitter Trend Awards melalui akun Twitternya telah mengunggah kata-kata terkait anime yang paling banyak dicuitkan dalam setahun ini

Inilah daftarnya sebagaimana dilansir dari Anime News Network, Rabu (19/12/2018).

1. Januari: your name, Shaft, Tiger & Bunny, Devilman, "Takagi-san! Why you little...!" (mengacu pada Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san)
2. Februari: "I've been thinking about Hellshake Yano", "Let's Meet At The Witch Assembly", Zoids World, Pop Team Epic
3. Maret: Ojamajo Doremi Quiz, "A title you really want to see become an anime", "Gundam lol", "A rush of anime adaptations"
