Solotrust.com – Ajang penghargaan IHeartRadio Music Awards menapaki tahun kelimanya. Diselenggarakan di The Forum, Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat pada Minggu (11/3/2018), acara ini disiarkan langsung di tiga televisi Amerika Serikat yakni TBS, TNT dan truTV, seluruh stasiun IHeartRadio dan juga IHeartRadio apps. Tak hanya musisi dari Amerika Serikat yang masuk ke dalam nominasi namun diperluas untuk musisi dari negara lain, termasuk Meksiko dan Korea Selatan.

Lagu Ed Sheeran ‘Shape Of You’ berhasil memenangkan Song Of The Year dalam ajang tersebut. Selain itu, Ed sekaligus memenangkan Male Artist Of The Year dan Pop Album Of The Year untuk album ‘Divide’. Penyanyi pendatang baru Cardi B juga mendapatkan predikat Best New Artist sekaligus Best New Hip Hop Artist tahun ini. Duo The Chainsmoker juga mendapatkan beberapa penghargaan di ajang ini yakni Dance Artist Of The Year, Dance Album Of The Year dan juga Best Collaboration bersama Coldplay di lagu ‘Something Just Like This’.

Dari musisi di luar Amerika Serikat, boyband BTS dari Korea Selatan berhasil menyabet kategori Best Boyband dan fansclubnya A.R.M.Y menyabet ‘Best Fan Army’. Tercatat A.R.M.Y memberikan 480 juta vote via sosial media untuk kemenangan ini. Penyanyi asal Meksiko, Calibre 50 juga berhasil mendapatkan Regional Mexican Artist Of The Year tahun ini.
