Solotrust.com – Tahun ini adalah tahun perdana diadakannya MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards (MGA). Digelar di Namdong Gymnasium, Incheon pada Selasa (6/11/2018) malam, sejumlah penghargaan telah diberikan kepada para artis dalam berbagai ketegori.

BTS berhasil menerima penghargaan terbanyak untuk tahun ini dengan 7 penghargaan, termasuk dua penghargaan tertinggi (Grand Prize) atau Daesang dalam Bahasa Korea. BTS memenangkan Daesang untuk kategori Best Artist of The Year dan Best Digital Albums of the Year.

TWICE berhasil membawa pulang 3 penghargaan, termasuk 1 Daesang yakni Best Selling Artist of the Year. Sementara itu WANNA ONE juga berhasil membawa pulang 3 penghargaan termasuk 1 Daesang yakni Song of The Year.
